I think it’s actually 60-40 he stays. He wanted more say in the personnel moves, and they gave that to him this year. It makes me wonder if he’ll rethink his plans to bolt at the end of the season. It seems like he has a decent relationship with MLF, so it’s a question of what he thinks of, and can he work with, Gutekunst and Murphy.
I’m hoping he stays. But after seeing what Brady did, it makes me wonder if he’ll go the plug n play route.
@neanderthalsnavel but if he does leave, I have to wonder if he’d stay in a cold weather, outdoor city, like Cleveland, or would he look for a warm weather franchise that is on the brink of winning? Indy seems like a pretty good situation right now and it’s indoors. He definitely is not going to be part of a rebuilding.
@neanderthalsnavel actually, I like Baker. I think he has great skills, but he has had zero coaching. He needs to get his head right be able to see things, adjust, and make good decisions. A good QB coach can help him refine his decision making. He tries to force things too much and ends up turning it over. Rodgers realizes you only get so many chances to score and you cannot afford to give your opponent any extra opportunities. Mayfield needs this sort of mindset.
