@DouglasLacerda Thank you! I was trying to find time series data on this. The American CDC does NOT measure influenza deaths. It combines all pneumonia (including flu). 2017-2018 registered ~55k pneumonia deaths per year (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr68/nvsr68_06-508.pdf page 9) and then they retroactively estimate the number caused by flu (https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/flu-season-2017-2018.htm).
There have been cases in Italy where some COVID-19 deaths are not counted (http://archive.md/lK92K) so there is error margin either way.
