Michael Mansfield QC said that the farming of livestock for meat was destroying the planet and called for legislation to criminalise those who caused global warming and the wilful destruction of wildlife.

So looks at the data there appears to be a coming recession in the UK/USA. Anybody got any info on how to mitigate against this? I was thinking buy gold (where, how), invest in foreign but stable markets not thought to be affected, and maybe some UK gilts?

Or shall I just start investing with a diverse portfolio with a low risk and ride it out?
