This is so important, the distinctions @adam is making re: believing vs reporting what we've heard or what we hope will happen.
We just wanna be free, we know that's a nearly impossible ask under the modern world order but we also know it's a bare minimum demand. We are meant to be free, and when we are not it is torture on our souls.
As long as any of us is alive, the fight for freedom goes on. The fight is not over before we win. And every act of freedom is a strike against tyranny.
