I've experienced the person-who-won't-go-in-front-of-you-in-line phenomenon that @Johncdvorak mentioned in episode 1343. What tends to work for me is, instead of asking them if they would like to go ahead of you, point in front of you and say, "you should go ahead of me." Then they'll do it. If faced with unanticipated decisions they have to make on the spot, many people freeze. If you give those same people a direct instruction they act on it. Not unique to millennials.
