somewhat graphic but nontechnical description of a craniotomy 🧠 surgery 

Eight years ago, doctors peeled the skin back on the side of my head and drilled a small hole.
Then they proceeded to cut a 2 cm circle of skull out and remove it. Next, they inserted a tool similar in size and function as a “clickable” pen, which was used to pulverize a tumour and suck it out.
They then put the piece of skull back in, stapled the skin back, and I didn’t even get a lousy t-shirt.
