Given that many New Normals are our friends and colleagues, or even members of our families, it is tempting to believe that they will “come to their senses,” that “this is all just a hysterical overreaction,” and that “everything will go back to normal soon.”

This would be a monumental error on our parts … very possibly a fatal error.

@DoctorBoom It doesn't take majority or even a large percentage to bring society back to common sense.

Michael Malice talks about this a lot. All it takes is a small % shift to be honest and speak frankly about what's going on.

For instance, if 3% of parents are homeschooling, and because of the idiocy of the school board, admin, and teachers, that number jumps up to 9%...

That will rock the schools policies

@stewil102 You're not wrong. But I'll only offer that I've been hearing this for my entire adult life (and I just recently turned 55) - and yet... here we are.

@DoctorBoom Threw up in my mouth again with this dreadful article.

So far, I have not been effected by "new normal activities"... Yet. I don't fly, don't go to douchebag sporting events, and rarely dine out. I live alone (mostly) in the wilderness of Arizona and other western states, and only require a grocer, water, gasoline and propane - 3 of which can be obtained outdoors. I've been doing this for nearly a year now.

If I get ANY guff from family members, they will never see me again!

@DoctorBoom as a European living in California, the ability to fly is important to me. I will have very little choice once the airlines make vaccination mandatory

@zeph I get that. I'm resigned to never traveling internationally ever again.

@DoctorBoom I think a huge change in thinking is coming and it's all thanks to Pfizer. My parents who buy into all this bullshit suddenly started to wake up once they saw the Pfizer booster shot news. I think they are beginning to finally realize this whole shit was a giant scam to sell vaccines.

@Zeroseph77 Time will tell. From my own anecdotal observations I'm not nearly as optimistic as you.

@DoctorBoom LAUSD teachers refusing to return, one middle school of 1600 students only has 400 enrolled for next year. Watching the whole thing collapse is mind boggling
