You can take 10,000 IU of D3 no issues as this is like 20 minutes in the UVB-having sun.
There is a concern if you are supplementing with calcium too. D will push calcium into tissues like bones but also arteries. Using K2 at 100 mg per 5000 IUs will keep from stiffening arteries.
Then you can supplement D3 to your hearts content.
